OB appointment #1
Since it is our first baby, I wanted to visit my OB immediately. Without telling G of the result, I texted him and asked him if he would want to accompany me for my OB check up. He didn't reply my text, instead he called through the landline. He asked if I already bought an HPT kit and tested again. I told him no, but I just wanted to confirm from my OB if I am really pregnant. He knows when I am telling a lie, so he figured out that I am already sure the we are pregnant. He immediately asked permission from his boss if he could be absent tomorrow. The joke on him was, 'is it a matter of life and death that you are asking for a leave for such a short notice'. I guess he answered something like, 'its a matter of life... we are going to my wife's OB tomorrow'.
May 30, we went to the OB at around 10:00am. We were already the third patient for the day. We got in around 11:30 already because Doc Ces was again late :p. The secretaries were happy to see me again (my last visit was in October). When Doc Ces asked how I've been, I told her that we wanted to consult something. I showed the 3 HPTs to her. She was beaming with smile as well. She asked me to lay on the bed so that she can check on my tummy and breast as well. She said that since I am not experiencing any pain, the baby must be within the proper area. There is no possibility of an ectopic pregnancy. But still she asked us to go for an ultrasound to check on baby's status. We went to Festival Mall, since it is cheaper to have an ultrasound at OB Gyne rather than at Asian's Lab. We went back to Doc to show the result.
The verdict:
The baby is already on its 4th week, no embryo sac yet or heartbeat detected but there are minimal traces of subchorionic hemorrhage.
When Doc saw the result, she immediately recommended that I take 2 weeks of bedrest. No strenuous activity, no travel, just complete bedrest. I am allowed to stand, to pee, to take a bath but other unnecessary movements should be avoided. She gave me pre-natal vitamins to take like folic acid and vitamin B complex. She also prescribed Duphaston and Duvadilan.
This is how baby gwenks looked like on his/her first picture....

from the result: we are due in January 2009
