Our twice a month visit to the OB started last Saturday. Before proceeding to the hospital, we looked for Tetanus toxoid first. OB said that this is difficult to find because it is not available in most drugstores. True enough, we went to 3 different drugstores already and not one of them offers it. We ended up buying it from a hospital pharmacy. I thought it was that expensive but when I paid at the cashier, she charged me P67 only (with the syringe already).

Since the pharmacist gave us ice with the toxoid, we thought that we need to bring it immediately to the hospital. So instead of dropping by our home, we headed directly to the hospital. When we arrived, we were already no. 10 in line. We waited until 6pm because in between, the OB has to assist her patient in giving birth.

When it was already our turn, she asked how the baby is. She also injected me the toxoid. It was painful at first but nothing that I can not tolerate When she checked on my lab test result, she finds it weird that the second hour was higher than the initial extraction. She then requested that I have another test made, just to verify the results.

She likewise commented on my weight. I gained 4 kilos in a matter of 2 weeks. Though it is still acceptable since I am already on my last trimester, she asked that I should monitor my diet. She didn't require that I take any diet pill but I should watch my carbohydrates intake. That means less rice and more on protein for me.

The meeting went for almost 15 minutes only. She scheduled to see me again after 2 weeks. By that time, I should already have the new result for my OGTT.
