NST and another ultrasound

December 23, I was set to undergo a NST (Non-Stress Test) and my third Ultrasound. We were scheduled to go to the hospital at around 2pm but since G was busy the whole morning, we got there past 3pm already. I had to rush to the Operating Room to have the test. To start with, the nurse asked me to change into a gown. I was rolled to the Labor room for the 30-minute test. It was not tiring nor strenuous at all. She just had to put 2 types of belt around my belly, (1) to monitor baby's heartbeat and (2) to monitor the contractions. I had to lie on my sides because it is easier to monitor baby's heart rate compared when I am on the prone position.

While I was being tested, G went to the Ultrasound room to have me listed. This was good since there were a number of patients already waiting for the sonologist. After my NST, I was already next to the last patient. Instead of the usual 30 minutes ultrasound, it took the test only around 15 minutes. Despite this fact, we got positive results for both tests.

When we went to the OB for check-up, she said that baby is already in 'lightening' position. This means that anytime, baby can already come out. She also said that with baby's age of gestation and size, she can survive the outside world already. Our next schedule is on January 3. On this date, she will already do her IE on me. I hope everything will be better.

For now, I still need to exert a little effort on my diet, especially in reducing my carbs. It has been tempting during Christmas but I succeeded. I just pray that baby will come out after New Year. Every thing's been prepared and packed, even the travel insurance for the van is updated.
