struggle with breastfeeding
I've always wished to go full time when it comes to breastfeeding. When it was already my turn, I had my struggles. Since I had Gestational Diabetes during pregnancy, it is required that I feed my baby every hour. This is not possible before because baby won't be able to suck anything from me yet. So we turned to formula. She is a voracious baby. She can immediately finish 1 ounce in a few minutes. When it was already my turn to breastfeed her, she had hesitations. I think this is because of the flow of my milk. Compared with bottle feeding, she can easily take as much as she wanted. She would only suck in few instances. Now I end up pumping for her.
I heard that it is possible to teach her to latch and turn into exclusive breastfeeding. This is my new goal. I will try this once my mom goes home. At present, she would always tell me to fix baby's milk because she pity her. If you can only see the picture that I took with my mom's Canon camera, you will see that they have truly bonded now.

when my little kyla came, she was fed with the bottle and formula... i really wanted to shift her to breastfeeding so we were mixed feeding her at the first few weeks and gradually, i shifted her to exclusively breastfeeding.. its not going to be easy especially if baby gwenks will get used to the bottle sucking and also, if your want more milk to flow from you, you have to let the baby latch on first before you give her the bottle.
anyway, it takes patience, but i believe its one of the most rewarding experience.

ganun talaga it takes time. and It can be frustrating! actually ako, d nag suckle si nigel sakin. we tried pero we both get frustrated hehe. d cya magaling mag suck e. what i do i pump out the milk sa bottle then store ko sa ref. gus2 ko din sana mag feed cya directly from me pero ganun din yata e. i pump ko din since d naman niya ma drain in one feeding. ma gatas pa namn ako, minsan para ako lalagnatin if i dont pump it. anyway, its good to be here! ngayn lng ako naka ikot sa blogsphere recently lng din kasi naayos internet d2 where we stay. see you around, mari and baby gwenks!
