step... no! step... yes!
My little girl has been trying to use her feet as much as she could these days. Whenever she is up, she wanted to sit on her walker immediately and explore our house. There are times when she would just go backwards but there are also times that she could move forward. Her latest discovery is moving sidewards. Since our house is small, she doesn't have enough space to walk to. So what I usually do is to clear the area. I'd move the furniture near the wall to maximize the space. Once she gets tired with the walker, she would ask to sit. She is good with balance so at six months, she can already sit on her own. There are times when she'd fall but if you position her well you can expect her to be there as long as she could.
What only worries me is when she starts to move from her sit. I already plan to set-up her rubber mats but will these suffice? I am now also on look-out for some preschool furniture which I will use for her corner. It will be a place where she could put all her toys, her books and charts. Something that she can call her 'own' area. This is like the corner that we usually see at pedia clinics.
Howell, I heard her cry already. I have to go check on her first.
