We have been calling Baby Gwenks' pedia as tita doc. This is for her to 'feel at-home' whenever we see her for check-up. During the first initial check-ups (we were usually with tatay), they would bubbly 'talk' together. They'd play and hug each other until the immunization. After that, the crying session, they would be friends again.

This has been the scenario since the first day that we had baby Gwenks' check-up but on her 7th month check-up turned into disaster. While waiting for our turn, she was still happy talking with other patients. She was even shouting her heart out because of her new environment. But when we entered the room, she started crying. She wouldn't allow tita doc to hold her at all. I took her measurements while she was lying on one of the exam tables inside the room, while tita doc was looking at us. I like the design of their tables because it gives easy access to both the patient and the doctor. After taking the measurements, I tried to cover doc while she was checking on her tummy and other body parts. The check-up which usually lasts for more that 20 minutes lasted for about 5 minutes only. Good thing she stopped crying loud while doc and I were already talking and discussing her growth. 

I don't know what went wrong there. Maybe she was afraid that tatay was not with us... or she was traumatized with previous check-ups? I hope that when we return on November, things will already change. I hope this is just a stage where her stranger anxiety is just beginning... I hope, I hope.
