eating habits

Our family's favorite bonding time is eating. Every weekend, before going home after attending the Sunday mass, we would already eat out. This saves me from washing the dishes and lets us taste 'something different' from what we usually eat during the week. In my current state (preggy mode), I can no longer eat as much as I wanted. I cannot afford to eat more dessert than I wanted. I had to watch the food that I ingest and really monitor my diet all throughout. I had to watch a balance diet so as I would not develop gestational diabetes again.

I can say that I have an easy first trimester. I do not and did not (again) experienced nausea and vomiting. I enjoyed all the food that I want to eat without worrying of bringing it out. With regards to my lab test, it showed that my blood sugar is still within the normal range and my GD hasn't emerged yet. So I really have to monitor my intake.

So far, it is better that I get to taste everything in moderation than suffer the consequences. I do not want to do the everyday ritual of injecting myself with insulin again. I do not want to prick myself twice again. I would now rather eat in moderation than do everything again.
