bday party

I haven't updated this blog for sometime... about 10days and I've been wanting to write a post since we attended baby Gwenks' first real bday party.

October 23, we went to Jolibee Pacita to attend Iya's 1st bday. Iya is the granddaughter of our godparents in our wedding. The invitation states that the party starts at 1pm. We left our home at 11 am since we still had to drop by SM to buy our gift. This didn't gave me enough time to look around so we bought the first thing that we saw. The gift waswrapped and we were on our way by 12:30.

We at Jolibee a few minutes from 1. We got there at the same time with our hosts While waiting for other guests, baby Gwenks and ate mingled with other children. She was enjoying the decors more than playing with other kids. When her lola Butchay and tito Jon2 arrived, she went with them. Real party started at 1:30pm, games were played with very little participants. The kids were shy to join. We won in one of the Bring Me game. We ate at around 2pm and Jolibee went out by 2:30. Children with ages same as baby Gwenks were afraid of the mascot. Iya was even tightly holding on to her lolo's shirt. Baby Gwenks on the other hand was playing with Jolibee. We had our pictures taken with 'him' and they even hold each other hands.  She likes the mascot so much that she didn't want to blink her eyes at all.

She really enjoyed the party. Even if she was already sleepy, she wouldn't close her eyes a bit. When we were on our way home, as soon as we got in the tricycle, she closed her eyes and snoozed to lalaland. Now, whenever we pass by any Jolibee store, she would point at the poster or drawing and show her smiling face.

October 24 - we went to another bday party. This time, it was just within our neighborhood. It was Gail's first bday too. Just like the other party, she enjoyed watching the clowns and other children. Since it was already late, we didn't get to finish the party. We just brought home the loot bag that her  'wawa' won for her.

*-*
I now feel the pressure for baby Gwenks' first birthday. Exactly 74 days from now we will also celebrate her party. We are still torn between celebrating it in a resort or just have a Jolibee party. If I were to choose, I prefer something that I can work on. I want to think of the balloon designs, backdrop, loot bags, etc but this means that I have to think of the budget as well.

Howell, for the mean time, let me check on industrial safety supplies. I will not use it for baby Gwenks' bday but this will help me, in a way, decide on the budget for the party. I may have a commission if I find someone who needs these supplies.
