Breastfeeding is still best for babies. I salute women who breastfeed their babies. It is not an easy task.

When I was pregnant with baby Gwen, I vowed that I would breastfeed her. It would be easy since I stay at home most of the time and I really want to. Come day 1 of her life, I was advised to give her formula since I was diabetic during my pregnancy. From that time, I wasn't able to give her needs immediately.

Contrary to baby Stef, I was more determined this time. Formula wasn't allowed at the hospital which gives me the chance to bond with her immediately. She is such a good sucker that even my milk hasn't come out yet she still suck intensely. On her day 3, my milk started flowing already. We were both happy with the result.

Now, she is almost 2 months old already and is still breastfeeding... though not totally. There are times when she has to take formula, especially when I go out. To enhance my milk, I take malunggay capsules (Lipovox is out since I need to be healthy) and take a lot of water.
